After 2-½ months in Jamaica, Kwesi and his wife, Denise, have finally been reunited with their daughter, Kesi, and the rest of their family in Guyana, following the successful surgery to remove the tumour in Kwesi’s jaw and its intricate reconstruction. We’d like to thank Dr. Ladi Doonquah and his team for their surgical expertise, care and compassion throughout Kwesi’s stay in Jamaica. We’d also like to thank the University Hospital of the West Indies, especially Dr. Trevor McCartney and Mr. David Walker for their patience and professionalism. Our sincere thanks go out as well to all members of the Guyanese community in Jamaica for welcoming Kwesi and Denise into their community and supporting them throughout their difficult period. And last, but certainly not least, we’d like to thank Seymour and Pamela George for providing support, counselling, accommodation and meals to Kwesi and Denise. The Georges have been true angels. |
